About The Position

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour per day, 7 days per week operations of the acute inpatient unit(s). Duties and responsibilities include articulating goals and objectives of the Department, effectively presenting information to staff, patients, families, and licensing and regulating agencies. Excellent written communication skills are needed to assist in preparing reports, writing policies, and minutes for department meetings, and carrying out Performance Improvement planning and monitoring. Must be able to actively participate in all Non Violent Crisis Interventions on the unit at all times as present. Organizational skills, writing skills, and basic computer skills are also required.

Requirements

One year of supervisor or Charge RN experience required.
Associate degree in nursing required from an accredited school of nursing.
A valid RN license in the State of Michigan.
Current certification in BLS/CPR required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
