About The Position

This role is for a Nurse Manager in the ICU department at Saint Thomas Midtown facility in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, working day shifts. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, identifying and resolving issues affecting patient care, and developing and implementing policies and procedures for efficient and effective health services. They will also monitor and adhere to the budget, ensure high levels of associate, patient, and physician satisfaction, and conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development, and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross Accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in adult critical care setting.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.
