About The Position

As a member of the nursing leadership team, the Nurse House Supervisor supports teammates in providing a safe environment for patients and teammates through the coordination and evaluation of the unit under the general direction of the Nurse Director. This role involves working with adults at Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center's residential facility in Chicago, IL, on full-time overnight shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing (required)
  • Unrestricted RN license in state where assigned (required)
  • 1+ year of direct patient care experience (required)
  • Attention to detail (required)
  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead, motivate and inspire others (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
  • 1+ years of supervising others or leading teams (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience treating patients with eating disorders (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members.
  • Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties.
  • Uses the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team’s level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.
  • Ensures efficient and effective unit operations including sufficient supplies and adjusts staffing as necessary.
  • Assists with scheduling teammates to cover open shifts.
  • Completes monthly audits and checklists.
  • Assures unit compliance with policies and procedures that meet accreditation and licensing requirements, including reviewing and following up on incident reports.
  • Serves as a resource and primary point of contact regarding clinical questions, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides direct patient care as necessary.
  • Assists teammates with patient care responsibilities including milieu and crisis management.
