About The Position

The House Supervisor at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, is a Full-Time position working 12-hour Night shifts. This role involves working within the Emergency Department, Adult ICU, and/or Step-Down Unit. Reporting to the Director of Nursing Operations, the House Supervisor is responsible for patient flow, patient placement coordination, staffing, and facilitating the quality of hospital services. This position leads hospital operations in the absence of administrative department heads, acting as a resource and support in coordination with the Administrator on Call (AOC) for both the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach campuses. The House Supervisor serves as a nursing resource, intervenes in difficult situations with patients and/or families, and manages medical crises. They perform as a clinical resource for patient placements, provide clinical support during medical emergencies, and execute Standardized Procedures for safe and appropriate care. Duties are performed in a manner that projects the core values of Mission and consistently adheres to the ANA Nurse Administration scope & standards of practice. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years Registered Nurse experience
  • Nursing leadership experience, i.e. charge nurse, senior level nurse, RRT/Sepsis nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Administration, Hospital or Health Services Administration, or Business Administration.
  • 3 years Health care experience in project coordination encompassing operations analysis, outcomes measurements methodology, data management and system quality improvement.
