Nurse Case Manager - Northern Virginia
About The Position
Paradigm is seeking a Field Nurse Case Manager to cover Northern Virginia, including areas like Arlington, Alexandria, Reston, Leesburg, and Manassas. This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to be located in the Northern Virginia area due to regular local travel (80% of the time) for in-person patient appointments. The role involves the medical case management of work-related injuries, encompassing assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager collaborates with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, closely monitoring the progress of injured workers and reporting results. The candidate must be willing to learn and manage catastrophic cases.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA
- Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases
- Skills required for success: organization and timeline adherence skills, PC and technology skills, communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
- Skilled at patient education
- Valid Driver’s License, and good driving history
- Must be located in the Northern Virginia area
- Must be willing to travel
Nice To Haves
- Experience in case management of workers comp cases
- Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred. REQUIRED within two years of the date of hire
