About The Position

Ensures provision of safe, comprehensive care, meeting client and staff needs through coordination and communication. Provides assistance with system navigation and the coordinator of patient flow.

Requirements

  • Experience in advanced nursing support and for patients with Epilepsy
  • Five (5) years experience in Pediatrics
  • Experience in research, quality monitoring and evaluation
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Epilepsy Saskatoon membership
  • Current CPR Level C
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • Teaching skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proactive, result-oriented and participative approach to leadership
  • Knowledge in policy and procedure development and quality assurance initiatives
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply research to nursing practice
  • Knowledge of program planning process
  • Ability to develop a monitoring program to assess and improve quality of care
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to accept and implement change
  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding client care
  • Knowledge in nursing process
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong teaching, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner

  • Masters degree in related field is an asset
