About The Position

The Nurse Assistant provides essential patient care to support patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role contributes to care planning and implementation, responds to emergent situations according to established procedures, and supports nursing teams in delivering compassionate, high-quality care. The position is at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital and is full-time nights, working 36 hours per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (such as Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician); or current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing; or foreign training and licensure as an RN without a Michigan RN license; or completion of a Medical Assistant program, with or without experience; or at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification preferred.
