About The Position

The Neuro/ICU Staff Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital provides comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including patients with complex healthcare needs. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care while using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practice. The role involves collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, advocacy for patients and families, and a commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-centered care and professional accountability. This is an onsite, 36-hour-per-week night-shift position at 75 Francis Street. Weekend rotation is required under the MNA contract.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current registration in Massachusetts.
Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
At least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Strong clinical judgment, initiative, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Critical care nursing experience is preferred.
Neuroscience nursing experience is preferred.
Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
