About The Position
The Neuro/ICU Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who delivers comprehensive, safe, evidence-based care to patients with diverse and complex healthcare needs. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while exercising sound clinical judgment and practicing at the top of their license. The role works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, advocates for patients and families, and contributes to positive patient outcomes in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This is an onsite, 36-hour-per-week night-shift position at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., located at 75 Francis Street.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- At least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Able to work a weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Critical care nursing experience is preferred.
- Neuroscience nursing experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
