About The Position
Lakes Regional Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients in a patient-focused setting. Under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Nurse, the Nursing Assistant works as part of the healthcare team and provides basic nursing care within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice, meeting patients’ psychosocial and physical needs. Care opportunities involve a wide range of diagnoses and ages. The position has rotating 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays. Requirements
- Completion of a 75-hour nurse aide course, current enrollment as a student in an accredited nursing program, current EMT certification, or completion of the hospital-sponsored nurse aide class.
- Nursing Assistant certification, Basic Life Support, and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting certification, or ability to obtain them in accordance with the education policy.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Medical/Surgical hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
- Help meet patients’ psychosocial and physical needs.
- Work as a member of the healthcare team under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
