About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The role is per diem with a variable shift.

Requirements

• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
• Current EKG certification upon hire.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
