Leesburg, VA 20175 - Onsite Nurse Assessor - 1099 (RN) Contract $125 Per Assessment
About The Position
The Helper Bees is seeking an independent contracted nurse to conduct face-to-face assessments in claimants’ homes. This per-diem opportunity offers supplemental income. The role involves completing in-depth cognitive and functional assessments, accurately documenting observations about each individual’s current status, and remaining objective. The nurse coordinates scheduling with the client or their designated contact, then submits each assessment through an online application within 24 hours. A review team may request clarifications by telephone within 48 hours of submission; an assessment is complete only after all clarifications have been answered. Payment is $125 per completed assessment within a 35-mile radius. Work opportunities are offered when available in the candidate’s area.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
- Familiarity with a broad range of medications and conditions common in the geriatric population.
- Reliable internet access for submitting assessments.
- A portable Windows computer or a tablet with a camera.
- Ability to learn technology quickly and current proficiency with computers.
- Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and patient manner.
- Prompt and thoughtful communication.
Nice To Haves
- Previous quality assurance or chart audit/review experience.
Responsibilities
