About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Temporary Nurse Apprentice to join their nursing team on the Telemetry floor. This position is located at their Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. The Telemetry department serves patients aged 16 and above with primarily cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke conditions, or rapid responses from other hospital departments. This department functions as a progressive care unit, serving approximately 650 patients monthly. A typical colleague schedule involves three 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment, ideal for those seeking career advancement.

Requirements

Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).

Nice To Haves

Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination.
Perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
