Requirements

Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
Observe resident conditions and report changes to nursing staff during rounds and shift updates
Deliver meal trays, help residents eat, and provide between-meal nourishment as needed
Maintain a clean, organized environment and remove hazards to support resident safety
Make beds, change linens, organize belongings, and assist with room cleanliness
Move residents safely by wheelchair or stretcher and escort them to appointments or activities
