Requirements

  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility based on individual care plans
  • Maintain a safe environment by reporting concerns and following all facility policies and procedures
  • Observe resident conditions, gather basic health data, and communicate changes to nursing staff
  • Help keep resident rooms clean, organized, and comfortable to support an inviting setting
  • Escort or move residents to appointments or activities using approved equipment
  • Record care activities and services on required forms in accordance with regulations
