Requirements

  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living needs such as bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility based on individual plans of care
  • Monitor resident conditions and share important changes with licensed nursing staff
  • Follow safety procedures and help maintain a hazard-free environment for residents
  • Keep resident rooms neat, organized, and tidy to support a comfortable setting
  • Move or escort residents safely to activities, appointments, or other locations as needed
  • Document care and services accurately on required forms in line with facility standards
