Requirements

Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility based on their care plans
Apply basic safety devices and report any unsafe conditions or changes in resident behavior to nursing staff
Observe resident conditions and share important information with professional staff to support their care needs
Maintain clean, comfortable, and organized resident rooms and help with linen changes and supply restocking
Move and escort residents safely to appointments, activities, or other areas as needed
Record care and services accurately on required forms to meet facility and regulatory standards
