The Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide who enjoys caring for others and helping them reach their goals. Requirements

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
• Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry (required for long-term or specialized care facilities)
• Ability to perform essential job functions
• Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (post-conditional offer)
• Medical examination and drug screening (post-conditional offer)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene support, meet physical and emotional needs, and maintain safe living conditions
• Assist staff with restorative programs that help residents reach their highest potential
• Use communication skills and crisis prevention techniques while advocating for residents
• Participate in team meetings, discuss treatment goals, and help maintain clean and sanitary conditions
• Teach residents basic tasks, assist with meals, and apply infection control techniques
• Report changes in resident condition or environment through verbal or written updates
