About The Position

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is an entry-level engineering program designed for individuals passionate about technology and seeking a career in engineering. It consists of rotational assignments, technical training, and opportunities for professional development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's OR Master's Degree in one of the Engineering majors stated from an ABET accredited university: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Controls Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Materials Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other Energy Engineering related majors will be considered.
  • Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
  • Ability and willingness to work full-time and in-person in Wilmington, NC.

Nice To Haves

  • Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) without rounding.
  • Passion/desire to work in the Nuclear industry.
  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in the power industry, design engineering or nuclear engineering.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, energetic, confident, flexible in changing environments.
  • Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering.
  • Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility.

Responsibilities

  • Work on impactful, technically challenging projects in the Nuclear power generation industry.
  • Participate in work rotations in a variety of disciplines (i.e., Design, Analysis, Systems, Integration, Controls, etc.) over the span of approximately 2 years.
  • Enhance core engineering skills through technical, business, and general development training.
  • Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
  • Collaborate in general development and technical training activities with other program members.
  • Grow technical expertise in your chosen field and expand skills in new areas.
