About The Position
Fluidstack is seeking an NPI TPM (New Product Introduction Technical Program Manager) for their Product Engineering team. This role is crucial for bringing hardware for gigawatt-scale AI data centers from concept to rate production. The Product Engineering team focuses on racks, gear, and power conversion, treating them as products rather than one-off projects. Key responsibilities include driving new product families through stage gates to production on aggressive schedules, managing long-lead components and design changes, and ensuring alignment across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. The team also emphasizes rigorous gate reviews and readiness scoring to ensure products are truly ready for production. Requirements
- 5-10 years of technical program management of hardware NPI at an OEM, ODM, or hyperscaler, running programs from kickoff through stage gates to rate production.
- An engineering degree and sufficient technical depth to critically evaluate design reviews.
- Experience making difficult program decisions (e.g., cutting scope, slipping dates, spending to recover) and articulating the rationale and cost.
- Experience handling DVT-stage component changes against 20-week lead times, including decision-making processes.
- Ability to build credible program schedules under uncertainty and identify critical uncertainties for decision-making.
- Proven track record of tracking risk across multiple workstreams using tooling and judgment, identifying impactful risks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with GPU or dense compute hardware programs.
- Experience with switchgear or power conversion NPI.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers.
- Experience running ECO (Engineering Change Order) and change-discipline systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the program schedule, stage gates, and cross-functional execution for a product family (rack, gear, or power conversion) from kickoff through rate production.
- Run risk and dependency management across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, surfacing top risks early.
- Facilitate gate reviews and readiness scoring, maintaining rigor even under schedule pressure.
- Broker escalations and decisions between engineering and delivery to expedite critical calls.
- Build credible program schedules with explicit assumptions and decision dates, even amidst design uncertainty.
