NP/PA Outpatient General Surgery Full-Time Opening in San Diego, CA
About The Position
Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery Division at the SRS Frost Street North Clinic in San Diego, California. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) outpatient position supporting the General Surgery Division. The role involves evaluating and managing patients with various general surgery diagnoses, providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, surgical follow-up, and patient education. The NP/PA will collaborate closely with board-certified general surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care. Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is known for its integrated, coordinated, patient-centered care and offers exceptional clinical support, a fully integrated EPIC EMR, and a strong, established patient base.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of full-time NP/PA experience in a general surgery setting required
- Active, unrestricted California NP or PA license required
- Current board certification in applicable specialty required
- Must be comfortable working independently

- Procedural experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and manages patients with hernias, gallbladder disease, soft tissue masses (including cysts and lipomas), bariatric surgery conditions, and other common general surgery diagnoses
- Provides comprehensive pre- and post- operative care, surgical follow-up, and patient education
- Collaborates closely with board-certified general surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
