About The Position

Join a supportive and collaborative hospital team in South Florida as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Hospitalist. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
Minimum 2 years of hospitalist or inpatient clinical experience required
Active Florida NP or PA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
Patient-focused, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional demeanor
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification preferred but not required
Proficiency with Epower Doc EMR system is beneficial
Experience in acute care or critical care settings

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient hospitalist care to a diverse patient population on weekends
Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Perform admissions, discharges, and transitions of care for hospitalized patients
Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR system (Epower Doc EMR experience preferred)
Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes
Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital protocols
