About The Position
This is a locum tenens opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Hospitalist services at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Medford, WI. The role involves providing inpatient clinical coverage, managing an average daily census of 14-17 patients, and coordinating care with a 24-hour General Surgery call coverage. The position requires collaboration with various ancillary services and other Hospitalist APCs during the shift.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- WI license or willing to obtain
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide hospitalist coverage at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Manage an average daily census of 14-17 patients
- Coordinate care with 24-hour General Surgery call coverage
- Collaborate with ancillary services including Lab, Imaging, PT/OT, Wound Clinic, Cardiopulmonary, and RT
- Work collaboratively with two Hospitalist APCs during 6a-6p shifts
