About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide coverage for the Emergency Department at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas. This is a Locum Tenens position with SCP Health - Locums, covering an ongoing period starting September 1, 2026. The role involves managing an average daily volume of 84 patients in a Level IV Trauma facility. The position requires adherence to an active Texas license and maintaining required certifications, including ACLS (AHA only), ATLS, and PALS. Documentation will be managed through the Medhost EMR system. Expedited privileges are available for clean files, and a minimum availability of 3 shifts per month is required.
Requirements
- Active Texas license required to proceed

- Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for ER department as scheduled
