NP/PA - Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an NP in Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care at an Inpatient facility in Syracuse, NY. The role involves providing clinical coverage only for cardiac surgery ICU and step-down patients, focusing on critical care and cardiology-focused cases. The NP will manage patient care plans, perform daily rounding and documentation, and provide phone coverage for all inpatients. Bedside procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube placement and removal, and wound vac changes are required. The position utilizes the Epic EMR system, with specialty backup available from supervising and critical care physicians.
Requirements
- Active NY License
- AANP Certification
- ACLS Certification
- ICU/critical care experience required (cardiac ICU preferred)
- EPIC experience required
