Medical Intensive Care Team, NP/PA
About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join their Medical Critical Care Team. This team services three hospital campuses in Newark and Wilmington, DE, and Elkton, MD, which collectively have 1,300 beds. This is a full-time position, with options for a standard day schedule or dedicated off-shift roles such as swingternist, nocturnist, or weekendist. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical management to patients within the Medical ICU, working in collaboration with a medical intensivist. Additionally, the role involves responding to code blues, performing ICU admissions, and managing rapid responses, specifically at the Cecil campus.
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Delaware and Maryland
- Acute Care NP license required
- Prescriptive Authority for the state of Delaware and Maryland
- DEA registration for the state of Delaware and Maryland
- ACLS required
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical management to patients in the Medical ICU with the support and collaboration by a medical intensivist
- Respond to code blues
- Perform ICU admissions
- Manage rapid responses (Cecil campus only)
