About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology/Critical Care in Wilmington, NC. The role involves providing direct patient care in a 10-bed Neuro ICU, managing critically ill neurology patients. The NP will perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and order/interpret diagnostic tests. Collaboration with neurointensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is essential. Accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR is required. The position involves 12-hour shifts (days or nights) to ensure coverage continuity.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in NC or Compact License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Neuro ICU, managing critically ill neurology patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and order/interpret diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with neurointensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team
- Document all patient encounters and care plans in Epic EMR accurately and timely
- Participate in 12-hour shifts (days or nights) as scheduled, ensuring coverage continuity
