Neurologist, Neurocritical Care
About The Position
The Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking applicants for a full-time Neurocritical Care faculty position for our Boston location. The successful applicant will be appointed at a Harvard Medical School rank commensurate with their level of experience and qualifications. The successful applicant should have strong research interests as well as excellent clinical and teaching skills. Applicants are welcome for both junior and senior faculty ranks. Potential leadership opportunities are available depending on skills and experience level.
Requirements
- MD from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or eligible in Neurocritical Care
- A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one
- A history of delivering superb clinical care and an interest in teaching residents and medical students
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Nice To Haves
- Expertise in clinical or basic research is especially encouraged
Responsibilities
- 100% clinical effort to include: A minimum of 154 shifts the Neurocritical Care Unit or staffing the Critical Care Consult service. This is equivalent to twenty-two (22) weeks of seven day coverage
- Participate in the mentoring and education of residents, fellows and medical students.
