About The Position

Gen is seeking a Norton Brand and Growth Acquisition Lead to set and manage the strategy for acquiring new customers. The role determines how media investment is allocated, which audiences and products receive priority, how pricing and promotions support acquisition, and which tests can unlock additional growth. It owns full-funnel media and performance goals, guides Channel Centers of Excellence (CoE) on budget and priorities, and reports on performance and investment decisions across owned, earned, and paid channels. The position partners with Channel CoE, Finance, Integrated Marketing, Product, Product Marketing, Pricing, Analytics, CRO, and Customer Success/Lifecycle teams to align acquisition plans, forecasts, testing, and customer-value considerations. It leads cross-channel and geo-specific investment planning, in-year optimization, performance reporting and business storytelling, and the test roadmap. The role is based in New York, NY, with an onsite minimum of three days per week.

Requirements

  • 10–12 years of experience in performance, growth, or acquisition marketing, including at least 3 years setting cross-channel investment strategy.
  • Experience building marketing plans and understanding performance channels and KPIs.
  • Track record of owning and defending a multi-channel budget against CAC or ROAS targets.
  • Experience in consumer subscription software, cybersecurity, or digital services.
  • Multi-region experience across North America, EMEA, and APAC, including localized planning.
  • Experience with partner or indirect acquisition, such as retail, OEM, telco, or app store, alongside direct channels.
  • Strong strategic thinking and storytelling skills, including the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Strong analytical rigor and use of data to guide decisions across channels.
  • Ability to influence without authority and align CoE, Finance, and Product partners around a shared plan and metrics.
  • Comfort making decisions with incomplete data and setting up tests to validate them.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, or a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience leading annual and quarterly integrated media planning, deriving tests, and setting cadence to meet brand and performance objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and adjust audience targeting, channel mix, and product investment priorities to meet KPI, CAC, and growth targets.
  • Experience managing significant media budgets, defining performance goals, and optimizing in-quarter and full-year investment.
  • Track record of weekly reporting across channel, product, and geography with implications for quarterly and annual forecasts.
  • Deep understanding of growth levers across owned, earned, and paid channels and how they contribute to an integrated acquisition plan.
  • Experience developing and executing geo-specific media investment strategies, localized campaigns, and GTM support across regions.
  • Experience partnering with Brand, Campaigns, and Product Marketing on media-led insights about formats, placements, and localization.
  • Data-driven approach to designing and scaling media, channel, and geo tests, with CRO partnership to connect investment to conversion outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, and incrementality testing, including when to trust each.
  • Experience in a subscription or recurring-revenue business, managing to LTV and payback rather than first-order return alone.
  • Comfort with SQL or BI tools such as Power BI and ad-platform reporting, with the ability to pull and pressure-test data independently.
  • Hands-on experience using and building with AI to improve work, curiosity about new AI applications, and familiarity with automated bidding and AI-driven campaign types and their effects on planning levers.
  • Brand-level, full-funnel perspective on how awareness, consideration, and conversion work together.
  • Proactive approach, bold decision-making, and ability to bring forward and advocate for growth ideas.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with automated bidding and AI-driven campaign types and how they change the planner's levers.

Responsibilities

  • Set annual and quarterly acquisition goals and priorities, and partner with channel teams on the channels, tests, and calendar needed to meet brand acquisition and performance goals.
  • Own media spend and performance goals and align Channel CoE, Finance, Integrated Marketing, and Product partners around a unified acquisition plan across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Drive audience, investment, channel mix, portfolio, and product-priority decisions to meet KPIs, CAC, and growth targets.
  • Build investment business cases using unit economics, including CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC, and payback period by channel, product, and geography.
  • Partner with analytics teams to develop marginal-return views of spend and use them to guide investment increases or reductions.
  • Guide Channel CoE teams on budgets and goals and adjust, shift, or add funding throughout the year.
  • Provide weekly channel guidance on spend, forecasts, and performance, and identify opportunities to close performance gaps by shifting investment.
  • Report weekly brand performance across owned, earned, and paid channels by channel, product, and geography, highlighting risks and opportunities for quarterly and annual results.
  • Update forecasts, flag risks and growth opportunities, and partner with Finance on quarterly reforecasts and alignment of media plans with bookings, units, and revenue targets.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly narratives on acquisition performance, with relevant channel, geo, and product insights.
  • Develop geo-specific media investment strategies and plans, including geo campaigns and go-to-market support tailored to market needs and opportunities.
  • Support Integrated Marketing and GTM teams with acquisition planning, investment strategy, campaign and product-launch ideas, and launch cadence.
  • Guide acquisition pricing and promotional strategy with Product Marketing, Pricing, and Finance, including offer priorities and promotion tests by channel, product, and geography.
  • Use market, geo, competitive, and media insights to design growth tests across channels, geographies, and formats.
  • Own the test roadmap and make decisions to scale or stop initiatives based on results.
  • Assess category demand trends and their impact on brand acquisition.
  • Analyze competition across channels and customer journeys, including app stores, to identify acquisition opportunities.
  • Identify high-intent opportunities such as cart abandonment and bring them to the teams responsible for execution.
  • Provide input to CRO teams to connect media with funnel metrics and improve traffic-to-conversion outcomes.
  • Monitor cross-channel flows and metrics to manage the funnel as an integrated system.
  • Partner with Customer Success/Lifecycle teams to assess the LTV implications of acquisition choices.
