Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field OR Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for the Associate's Degree requirement
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
  • One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technicin or First year completion of associate's degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year as a non-registered EEG Technician

Nice To Haves

  • Technologist obtain the ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) credentialing for R. EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) within two years of hire into this position

Responsibilities

  • Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
  • Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments.
  • Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status.
  • Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.
