About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and reliable Non-Medical Caregivers for Seniors in the Sacramento area. Our mission is to hire the RIGHT people, for the RIGHT services, with the RIGHT approach, focusing on Professionalism, Confidence, Consistency, Integrity, Compassion, and Safety. We aim to help our senior clients remain as independent as possible in their homes. We service Sacramento, West, North and South Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland, and Davis. We are looking for care providers with experience in Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence, Transfers (Hoyer, Gait Belt, Slide Board). This role requires you to have your own vehicle for client transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance. We have shift needs throughout the week, including AM/PM and NOC (overnight) shifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
• HCA Registration (assistance provided at offer of employment).
• TB Skin test (completed TB test not older than 90 days accepted).

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living, including assisting with dressing and grooming.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers, including the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanies clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping activities.
• Provides medication reminders.
• Cares for bed-bound clients.
• Uses lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards, and Hoyer Lifts.
• Provides companionship.
