About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and skilled Caregivers for Seniors in Fresno, California. Our mission is to hire the RIGHT people for the RIGHT services with the RIGHT approach, focusing on Professionalism, Confidence, Consistency, Integrity, Compassion, and Safety. As a homecare aide, you will provide non-medical home care services to help senior clients remain independent in their homes. This includes assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, transportation, and light housekeeping. We are looking for individuals with experience in Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence, and with transfer techniques using Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and slide boards. A personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance are required for client transportation.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
• HCA Registration (assistance provided at offer of employment).
• TB Skin test (completed TB not older than 90 days is acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living, including assisting with dressing and grooming.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers, including the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanies patients on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping activities.
• Provides medication reminders.
• Provides care for bed-bound clients.
• Uses lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards, and Hoyer Lifts.
• Provides Companionship.
