About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to join our team in the Sacramento area. Our mission is to hire the RIGHT people with the RIGHT approach, focusing on professionalism, confidence, consistency, integrity, compassion, and safety. We aim to help our senior clients remain as independent as possible in their own homes by providing non-medical home care services. These services include assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, transportation, and light housekeeping.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
HCA Registration (assistance provided at offer of employment).
TB Skin test (completed TB test not older than 90 days accepted).

Experience with Hospice care.
Experience with Incontinence care.
Experience with Transfers-Hoyer.
Experience with Gait and Slide Boards.

Responsibilities

Performs personal care activities of daily living, including assisting with dressing and grooming.
Assists with ambulation and transfers, including the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
Accompanies clients on errands or medical appointments.
Performs light housekeeping activities.
Provides medication reminders.
Provides care for bed-bound clients.
Uses lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards, and Hoyer Lifts.
Provides companionship to clients.
