About The Position

The Non-Licensed Social Service Worker assists the Director in ensuring that residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis. The role also assists with planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the community’s Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures. The position is full-time, on the day shift, at a skilled nursing facility in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director in ensuring residents’ medically related emotional and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis.
Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Social Services Department’s overall operation.
Help ensure department operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
