About The Position

The Non Foods Manager oversees the non-foods department, including household items, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and other non-food products. The role manages inventory, product placement, sales performance, and departmental operations while leading and supervising non-foods clerks. The manager works with store management and other department managers to support store goals and provide customers with a well-stocked, appealing selection of products.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment.
Knowledge of non-food products and inventory management practices.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of household items, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and other non-food products.
Familiarity with inventory management principles and retail operations.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle varied tasks.
Ability to collaborate with coworkers and management.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory levels for non-food items, including ordering, receiving, and restocking products.
Optimize shelf space and product placement to maximize sales and create an appealing presentation.
Monitor sales trends and customer preferences to inform product selection and promotions.
Train and supervise non-foods clerks, providing guidance and support for customer service and departmental efficiency.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records and minimize shrinkage.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with store management and other department managers to achieve store goals and objectives.
