About The Position

Northern Haserot, a family-owned foodservice distributor founded in 1878, is seeking a Delivery Route Driver. The driver transports and delivers products to multiple customers each day using a straight truck or tractor/trailer. The role coordinates with customers, sales representatives, and other Northern Haserot personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is an onsite position scheduled Monday through Friday, starting at 5:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. and continuing until the route is complete. The driver represents Northern Haserot while serving customers and handling delivery records, payments, and scanning equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving, hours-of-service rules, and inspection and maintenance guidelines.
Must meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards regarding violations.
Ability to push and pull up to 250 pounds frequently using a two-wheel dolly.
Ability to lift up to 90 pounds unassisted.
Ability to enter and exit the vehicle cab multiple times daily.
Ability to climb into the truck from ground level as needed to access cargo.
Ability to navigate stairs, slim doorways, and hallways while moving products safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maneuver commercial vehicles in various situations using appropriate knowledge and skills.
Organize paperwork and customer payments, and use RF scanners and Samsara software with attention to detail and delivery accuracy.
Maintain and foster strong customer relationships as a representative of Northern Haserot.
Coordinate with customers, sales representatives, and other company personnel to make timely and accurate deliveries.
