About The Position
Immediate opening for a NON CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Neenah, WI. This position offers a dedicated, home-daily route delivering auto parts in a straight truck with a 20-26' trailer. Ryder provides paid training on all equipment, including pallet jacks and liftgates. Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling. Ryder emphasizes transparency in pay and route details, with an average weekly pay of $1075-$1200 for approximately 49 hours per week. Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions, and their jobs are protected. Ryder also offers support for owner-operators transitioning to company trucks.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Nice To Haves
- Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
Responsibilities
- Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records
- Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Other tasks as assigned
