About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Louisville, KY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a competitive weekly pay of $967 or more, with pay calculated based on miles, stops, and hourly rates for covering other duties. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 AM, with no weekends. Training is provided, and there are opportunities to cover vacations at other accounts. Drivers will deliver SOLO to Louisville, KY, occasionally to Lexington. The route is local, and drivers are home daily. The truck type is a Box Truck (16', 22', & 26') equipped with a Pallet Jack, Lift Gate, and Hand Truck. Freight is touch freight, specifically auto parts. Ryder trucks are well-maintained, safe, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available nationwide. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
