About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a dependable, safety-minded driver to support healthcare routes in the Sturtevant, Wisconsin area. The driver collects and transports medical waste and sharps containers and provides professional customer service at healthcare facilities. The role operates company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks and covers assigned local routes. It is a permanent, full-time position scheduled for four 10-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Overtime opportunities are available. The advertised non-CDL rate is $26 per hour; pay varies by license type, with CDL and CDL-with-Hazmat rates also listed. The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. Candidates are subject to background checks and drug testing after an offer.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT medical card.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and proven tenure with past employers.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
• Operate company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
• Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
• Load and unload containers throughout the day, including heavy lifting.
• Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
• Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
