About The Position

The Non-CDL Box Truck Driver supports healthcare routes in the Hayward, California area by collecting and transporting medical waste and sharps containers and providing customer service at healthcare facilities. The role operates company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks and manages assigned local routes, ensuring timely and reliable service.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position for 40 hours per week, with four 10-hour shifts and a 1 a.m. start time. Drivers must be willing to work one Saturday per month. The position pays a set, non-negotiable rate of $26 per hour and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 30 days of employment and $2,000 after 90 days. Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• DOT medical card.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and proven tenure with past employers.

• Commitment to safe driving and on-time delivery practices.
• Willingness to work one Saturday per month.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
• Operate company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
• Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
• Load and unload containers throughout the day; heavy lifting is required.
• Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
• Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
