About The Position

The Non-CDL Box Truck Driver supports healthcare routes in the Hayward, California area by collecting and transporting medical waste and sharps containers and delivering professional customer service to healthcare facilities. The role operates company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks and covers assigned local routes. The work schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, from 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a requirement to work one Saturday per month. Overtime opportunities are available. This is a permanent, full-time, direct-hire position of 40 hours per week, paying a non-negotiable $26 per hour. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $1,000 after 30 days and $2,000 after 90 days of employment. Full-time roles include benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• DOT medical card.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Proven tenure with past employers.

• Commitment to safe driving and on-time delivery practices.
• Willingness to work one Saturday per month.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
• Operate company vehicles, including box trucks up to 26 feet.
• Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
• Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
• Load and unload containers throughout the day, including heavy lifting.
• Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
• Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
