About The Position

This full-time, direct-hire role supports healthcare routes in the Hayward, California area. The driver collects, transports, and stores medical waste and sharps containers, operating company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks and providing reliable, professional service to healthcare facilities. The position offers a set rate of $26 per hour and a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $1,000 after 30 days and $2,000 after 90 days of employment. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, from 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with required availability to work one Saturday per month. Overtime opportunities are available. Full-time roles include benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
DOT medical card.
Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and proven tenure with past employers.
Customer-focused mindset and a flexible, can-do attitude.
Commitment to safe driving and on-time delivery practices.
Willingness to work one Saturday per month.

Responsibilities

Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
Operate company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
Load and unload containers throughout the day, including heavy lifting.
Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
