Maple & Ash Miami - Nightlife Manager
About The Position
The Nightlife Manager owns The Studio, a sophisticated speakeasy and private dining space at Maple & Ash Miami. The role oversees the venue after dark, including the door, room, programming, guest experience, and financial performance. The manager builds relationships with Miami tastemakers and local partners, grows a book of guests, and helps bring the city to The Studio. The Studio operates Thursday through Saturday and features DJs, live performances, guest shifts, promoters, and brand partners. The Nightlife Manager hires, trains, and leads the Studio team, hosts private events for up to 100 guests, and works with Maple & Ash teams to convert restaurant diners into lounge guests. The position also participates in the Maple & Ash management team, including weekly management meetings, scheduling, and ownership of The Studio P&L.
Requirements
- Three or more years managing a high-end lounge or comparable venue in Miami, with staff and P&L responsibility.
- A Miami network of concierges, residents, regulars, and people who book tables.
- Experience hiring DJs and promoters and holding them accountable to performance numbers.
- Fluency with SevenRooms and POS systems.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Run The Studio Thursday through Saturday, overseeing the door, floor, tables, and closing.
- Own programming, including booking, promoting, and measuring DJs, live performances, guest shifts, promoters, and brand partners against revenue.
- Build and grow a book of tastemakers, creatives, local insiders, and other guests.
- Develop local relationships with concierges, residential buildings, hotels, and Miami lifestyle brands, in partnership with the Event Sales Manager.
- Work with Maple & Ash host and service teams to convert dinner guests into Studio guests.
- Host buyouts, VIP parties, and other events for up to 100 guests with the events team.
- Hire, train, and lead the Studio team, including the door staff.
- Maintain standards for music, lighting, pacing, and guest mix.
- Participate in weekly Maple & Ash management meetings and handle scheduling and The Studio P&L.
