About The Position

The Night Warehouse Supervisor leads the evening warehouse operation and directs the team responsible for accurately and efficiently loading wine and spirits onto company delivery trucks. The role oversees inventory, receiving, storage, staging, and shipment activities while promoting safe and efficient warehouse operations. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM until finish. The supervisor directly manages associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and relevant laws. Responsibilities include hiring and onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, performance evaluation, and recommending compensation actions. The position also supports compliance with applicable warehousing, material-handling, shipping, alcohol-handling, and OSHA requirements. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a related business area.
Proficiency with PCs, MS Office, and other computer programs, including presentation software.
Verbal and written communication skills, using diplomacy and discretion, as well as customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently and/or as part of a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
Analytical and reporting skills.
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
Ability to remain stationary at times; communicate; and operate a computer and telephone.
Ability to occasionally carry and lift up to 65 pounds.
Ability to occasionally reach overhead, squat, and bend.
Ability to frequently walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Oversee efficient order picking and truck loading while minimizing breakage and ensuring trucks are dispatched at scheduled starting times.
Coordinate picking from full-case pick lines and the bottle room, and timely replenishment of full- and split-case areas.
Report damage to equipment, product, or facilities; enforce equipment operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; require preventative maintenance; and call for repairs.
Report product shortages and location problems.
Maintain and organize warehouse storage and floor space according to storage design principles, and recommend improvements.
Ensure efficient truck unloading and product receiving, including accurate system entry and placement in the correct warehouse locations while minimizing breakage.
Ensure compliance with local and federal laws and OSHA requirements, including handling work-related injuries and maintaining OSHA-compliant policies.
Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material-handling, and shipping requirements, enforce adherence, and advise management on necessary actions.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by maintaining and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Directly supervise associates and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, the CBA, and applicable laws.
Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicate job expectations; monitor and appraise performance; recommend compensation actions; and adhere to policies and procedures.
Handle beverage alcohol products responsibly.
Perform other duties as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor.
