Night Manager
About The Position
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers and is responsible for the store’s nighttime operation. Oversees clerks and the Third Shift store operation, ensuring shelves are stocked and leveled, inventory is adequate, and merchandising standards are followed. The role also oversees Front End and Office operations, refrigeration and security procedures, nightly and weekly resets, and the unloading of warehouse and direct-store-delivery merchandise. The Night Manager schedules, hires, trains, develops, evaluates, and, when appropriate, disciplines Night Crew Associates. The position ensures that productivity standards and assigned tasks are met, implements corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures, and protects company inventory and assets while controlling shrink. The stated pay range is $20.00–$29.00.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
- Handle and merchandise products according to company policy and demonstrate product knowledge to customers.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
- Oversee the entire Third Shift store operation and Night Crew Associates.
- Maintain shelf conditions and stock levels; level and block products; and ensure out-of-stock signs are displayed.
- Schedule Night Crew Associates.
- Oversee Front End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery Department, meet transmission times, and store excess product in the designated area or back room.
- Maintain merchandising standards, including shelf allocations and sale items, and keep excess product in the back room according to corporate guidelines.
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing new Night Crew Associates in grocery operations.
- Discipline or recommend discipline for Night Crew Associates according to company policy.
- Oversee refrigeration and security procedures during third shift and complete weekly and nightly resets.
- Unload warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
- Evaluate Store Associates’ performance and progress.
- Ensure Third Shift Grocery Crew productivity measures meet standards and assigned tasks are completed.
- Implement and maintain corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
- Protect company inventory and assets and control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and comply with company policies and procedures.
