About The Position

The Night Lead oversees overnight operations at the new American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in San Antonio, which provides a welcoming and supportive home away from home for cancer patients and caregivers traveling for treatment. The role helps ensure guests’ safety, security, and comfort by responding to emergencies, conducting security checks, managing nightly reporting, and preparing the lodge for the next day.

The position offers schedules of Sunday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday, 11:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $24.75 per hour. Minimal travel is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in hotel, hospitality, healthcare, or a related field, including knowledge of overnight operations, guest services, and night auditing procedures.
• Knowledge of security and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Additional education or training in hospitality management, security, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and address guest needs during overnight hours.
• Conduct security patrols and enforce safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with staff or emergency responders.
• Complete nightly reports, reconcile check-in data, and manage room inventory.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and readiness.
• Launder linens and reset common areas for the next day.
