About The Position

Renaissance Baton Rouge is hiring a part-time Night Auditor. The role reconciles hotel cashier transactions, reviews and compiles management reports, and helps ensure accurate guest billings and city ledger transactions. The Night Auditor communicates concerns and related issues to management and performs guest service agent duties as needed, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations. The position prepares daily and month-end reports, audits and reconciles Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work, and processes credit card transactions. It also involves maintaining accurate financial statistics, entering information into the corporate communications network, completing data-processing functions, meeting deadlines, and informing management of unusual operational or financial events and policy or procedure deviations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and distribute daily reports, such as the Daily Operating Report, discount program reports, and tax reports, according to hotel standards.
Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
Audit and reconcile Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work.
Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit credit card transactions in a timely manner.
Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines.
Ensure the accuracy of reported numbers and statistics.
Input and update financial information in the corporate communications network.
Perform required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data-processing system functions.
Inform management of unusual operational or financial events and deviations from policies or procedures.
Perform guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations.
Communicate concerns and related issues to all levels of management.
