About The Position

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of accommodation establishments during overnight hours. This position is responsible for accurately reconciling daily financial transactions, auditing guest accounts, and preparing detailed reports that support management decision-making. The Night Auditor acts as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that arise promptly and professionally. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Night Auditor helps maintain the integrity of the hotel's financial records while contributing to a positive guest experience during off-peak hours.

Requirements

  • Experience with hotel property management systems or similar software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nightly audits of all financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile daily revenue reports and prepare detailed audit summaries for management review.
  • Manage front desk operations during the night shift, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns.
  • Monitor security and safety protocols throughout the property, reporting any irregularities or incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless communication across shifts.
