The Night Auditor is responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. This role involves balancing duties, daily paperwork, and shift reports. While completing these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as guest check-in/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions. Additional duties may include public spaces cleaning, folding towels, and various miscellaneous office tasks. The role requires proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment. The Night Auditor is responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift. They will check the front desk log for problems and special requests. The role involves greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests, processing guest registrations including collecting payment, and preparing express checkout folios. Maintaining room status inventory and communicating all pertinent shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff are key responsibilities. The Night Auditor will also maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed, and communicate all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition. This role works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service. They will answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explaining in-room and hotel features is also part of the role. The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
