About The Position

Perform night audit operations to maintain financial controls and comply with hotel standards. Coordinate with departments such as Security and Housekeeping to ensure quality service for guests. The role is part-time and located at Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB.

Requirements

Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate calculations using a 10-key.
Ability to address guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Ability to access and accurately enter information using a moderately complex computer system.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including adapting communication style to different audiences.

Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes and journals, breaking down revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier.
Run audit reports and journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and computer.
Make corrections and adjustments and handle computer problems that occur during the shift.
Enter revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports, including the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary.
Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for next-day operations.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Coordinate with other departments, including Security and Housekeeping, to support quality guest service.
